Hello, I'm Lara.

This is the face I make when I think I'm going to die.

I had breast cancer.

Damn you chemo.

Because of my breast cancer, I have had the following: a partial mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and eventually a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction.

It was really sad.

I live in Pittsburgh.

I have a dog named Boomer, who I love very very much.

This is Boomer's sad face.

This year, we got a second dog to keep Boomer company.

Just chillin'.  Waiting for some treats.

I live with my boyfriend, aka my sweetie, and we've been together for almost five years.

Sometimes, we fight like this (cats and dogs, not hitting each other).
